Brand Design

Gogiya Korean BBQ

Gogiya is a Korean BBQ place where friends and family gather around sizzling grills. Every meal is authentic, social and delicious.

The brand kit for Gogiya captures that fun, social energy without losing any of the cultural relevance. Bold colors and typography make us stand out. I delivered a full brand kit including logos, typography, and various deliverables for the restaurant.

The brief for this project can be found on the DesignBriefs Instagram.

Background

Gogiya's brand doesn't stand out from their competitors. Where all their competitors value tradition, we want to combine tradition with modernity to create a more social environment. We want to create a more welcoming and energetic brand presence.

Design Intent

Develop a bold, modern brand that captures the spirit of Gogiya and our audience. We would like to focus on the experience of sitting around the table and cooking with friends and family, allowing people to leave with new memories made.

Brand Design & Inspiration

Asian DesignTaking the bold, vibrant aesthetic of Asian draphic design, we wanted to pay homage to that through the use of bold colors and typefaces. Social SettingsWe focused on bringing and amplifying a social setting; nights out with friends, laughter, and good food are all part of the Gogiya Spirit.

Brand Reveal

Gogiya’s wordmark logo is a bold, angled typeface for an edgy and trendy feeling. Logo variations include a piece of meat in substitute of the “O” in Gogiya.
